Music of Loren (Jake) Lentz

My father, Loren (Jake) Lentz has had a remarkable career as a musician. He played with the Woody Herman and Jimmy Dorsey bands and Ice Capades. He is a composer, arranger, multi-instrumentalist, and has been an inspiration to me. I’ll be housing some of his music here.

SAMBA FOR A RAINY DAY
FOR JAZZ ENSEMBLE
My dad was a guest artist with my high school jazz ensemble in around 1984. He arranged his tune “Samba for a Rainy Day” for the jazz ensemble and played as a guest soloist with us. I played the alto sax 2 / flute part (it was my debut performance improvising on flute!).

Other music by him:
Winds of Time (flute choir, 9 flutes in 3 movements, parts for now, write me to request score)

Perseids for flute and piano

Please contact me if you’re interested in having copies of any of his music.
