Resonance (2026)
Resonance is three pieces for flutes exploring listening, vulnerability, and longing/hope.

There's so much noise these days. I hope these can bring some light, a reminder how we need each other.

They are perfect for high school and up, for 3 or more flutes.

Each movement is rooted in modal exploration:
Listen, also (D Dorian)
Let your heart break (so your spirit doesn’t) (F Aeolian)
what if… (C Dorian)

The first movement, Listen, also draws inspiration from Robin Wall Kimmerer’s writings on mutuality, reflecting on listening as an act of generosity and reciprocity.

Let your heart break (so your spirit doesn’t) inspired by the words of poet Andrea Gibson, reminds us to stay emotionally present with what we're feeling.

The final movement, what if… lingers with longing and hope.

Each movement may be performed independently or in any combination.
